History

alfred-buisine

The history of BUISINE began in 1897 with Alfred BUISINE.

At the time, Alfred was a sales manager in a mill equipment supplies distribution company. When his third daughter was born, he decided to set up his own company. BUISINE was born, specialising in the sale of natural silk fabrics used for sifting and filtering flour. The main supplier was Dufour in Switzerland, which later became SST in Thal, and then SEFAR, which we still distribute.

historique3

During the Second World War, André BUISINE, Alfred's grandson, discovered screen printing. This technique, which did not yet have a name, promised to develop rapidly. Encouraged and helped by his Swiss supplier, he set up his first screen-printing shop on rue du Louvre in Paris, in the basement of the family shop. The year was 1946.

Thanks to its many advantages, screen printing quickly attracted the attention of letter painters, and then began to be used in industry.

The first machines appeared, but they were entirely pneumatic and relatively rudimentary.

historique2

In 1972, Buisine met Umberto Brazza, an Italian engineer who began designing and marketing screen printing machines under the name SIASPRINT. This marked the start of a partnership that lasted more than 40 years and led to a major expansion of screen-printing machines for point-of-sale advertising and posters.

historique4

Albin and Jean Jacques BUISINE joined the company in 1970 and together they oversaw its development. Screen-printing machines became increasingly automated and multi-colour lines were introduced.

In 1997, Arnaud BUISINE joined the company and steered its development towards digital technologies, which were becoming increasingly competitive.

From then on, BUISINE continued its story of tradition and innovation.
